Port Captain Robert Grech: Weather started out ok and the waves got a little larger as the day wore on. All 6 boats in the tournament stuck it out and the only big issue was maneuvering in very busy waters as this weekend was shared by the Benzie Frenzy! Some fished East Platte Bay, some straight out and along the shelf and some went south but turned around and came north after 9am fish call.
All lines were pulled by 1 P.M. and coolers were in line by 2 P.M. A moment of silence
was taken to respect the passing of TCAS President, Joe Cruzen. Italian Subs were
provided by Family Fare Frankfort and the bag lunch, Choice of chips, Famous Amos
mini chocolate chip cookies was assembled on site by Deb Grech, while following proper
Covid 19 Sanitation and Social Distancing guidelines. After lunch a surprise birthday cake
was served to honor Clyde’s 80th Birthday!
Pocket Change, Capt. Mark Hostetter, took 1st Place with 47.20 lbs. and Crew Members
Eric Hostetter 1st Big Fish 21.90 lb King and David Lescuk 2nd Big fish 17.30 lb. King. 2nd
place went to Rock N Reel, Capt. Tom Arkwright 16.75 lbs. and 3rd was Reel Affair, Chris
Christoph with 11.30 lbs. A few decent Kings but mostly Coho made up the catch of the
