Co-Port Captains, Henry Nabors and Dave Hutton hosted the August 3rd Manistee Salmon Tournament that included nine boats and thirty-two crew and guest! The fish were not easy to find AGAIN this year but when they were located they were some big ones!! Six of the 17 fish weighed were over 15 pounds!! The Big Fish was 28.5 pounds caught by Captain James Brazil and crew and the second largest was 26.15 pounds caught by Captain Richard Spangler and son Steve. Captain Richard and Steve took first place for the tournament weighing four fish for 68.4 pounds!
Second place was Captain Chris Christoph and crew with 46.1 pounds! Thanks to Nancy, Richard and Melody Nabors (The Alternative’s crew) for managing the weigh in and keeping score! Thanks to Co-Port Captain Dave Hutton and family for providing the chicken dinner and all the fixings!
