TOLEDO MEMORIAL WALLEYE TOURNAMENT MAY 11, 2019

Port Captain Bob Schulz: The morning started out with a little challenge launching boats at Sterling State Park as most docks were close to under water. Once in the lake we found that mother nature had not been kind during
the past few days, leaving the lake pretty muddy. From talking with the other boats we all fished in the Breast Bay area with lots
of fish being marked, but only a few finding our baits. On board the Bounty Hunter we started with a mix of body baits and crawler harnesses and ended with all big body baits were the trick for us. As the fishing ended we would all face one more challenge, that was getting the boats out of the water without getting wet feet as the wind had picked up and was blowing out the east. Sure enough
we arrived back at the launch area to find the water had risen about a foot leaving most of the docks completely under water. As part of the lunch/weigh in we all had a moment of silence to honor the past members of the club.

‘Picture This’ Captain Jim Robertson and crew took first place! See the Full Report in the June 2019 Newsletter on page 13 including pictures!
